Main Street Kitchen Facility Closed

We have closed our Main Street kitchen facility.  The insurance policy for The Mission was up for renewal and the insurance inspector has told us that in order to remain insured (and therefore to remain open) we have to make some upgrades to our fire prevention system.  These upgrades are extremely expensive and we simply did not have the funds to update a kitchen that is not going to be used as soon as our new kitchen is up and running so we have opted to temporarily close our kitchen as of July 11th 2008.  The Mission office and warehouse will not be affected by this and we will continue to hand out food boxes, clothing and other items as always.   We are very excited about our new kitchen facility and hope to have it completed in the very near future.
